Yes the opposite side does indicate the end of the 20 limit, which is another reason the one on Birkland Avenue baffles me.

You approach it at the top of the hill and the 20 limit applies going downhill towards Burns Lane, so coming the opposite way, the sign indicates the end of the 20 limit for the top part of Birkland Avenue and the top part of Sandy Lane towards the schools. Then there's another 20 limit sign further down Sandy Lane.

It would make more sense to have the sign at the end of Birkland Avenue on the junction of Meden Avenue. Or would that would be too sensible for the council? :roll:
