So let me get this right.

The police can try to sue you if they are hurt responding to your 999 call.

Criminals, can and have sued victims of their crimes when they have tried to defend themselves.

Is this an April Fool joke or is the uk gone totally mad ? :D
Screw the padded room, give me a trampoline floor with bubble wrapped walls and a velcro ceiling.

i have heard that a criminal robbing your property can sue if they injure themselves whilst on your property lmao

Barrister acting for the garage owner Mr Jones - question to WPC Jones "did you use your torch when entering the unlit area" Answer "No"
Judge - well thats an early lunch today then. Case dismissed.
I'm no expert, so please correct me if I'm wrong.

Oh, here comes a counter claim for trespass then! Where will,it all stop?

The owner made the 999 call and was with the WPC when she fell according to newspaper report.
I'm no expert, so please correct me if I'm wrong.

A female police officer is claiming compensation after tripping over a kerb in an unlit area.
Someone should have told her that the long black thing with batteries in, which she was given when she joined the force, is actually a torch
