Me too, my eldest has just had his 37th birthday! (I was a child bride! ) My youngest has his 21st coming up and my middle one's 24 and she's getting married next year.
Ten bob, I wouldn't bother trying to get rid of them because when they do go away, they only come back bringing more with them!!!
I know owns her own house but still comes to dads for a bath after work because my gas is cheaper Drop car keys on the table its cheaper for dad to fix car Still I'm only 21 and a bit an she is only a bit older than me (29 3/4 ) Little one still at school sixform
I have a granddaughter who will be five in November but I haven't seen her for 18 months. Her mum moved back to Scotland when she and my eldest split up and she wanted to sever all contact so she could settle into a new life. I understand that because I felt the same when I split up with my first husband, so I have to respect her wish. But, blood's thicker than water and I'm sure my granddaughter will contact me when she's a bit older.

I'm sorry to hear that Caz. I'm sure she knows you love her though. Obviously you still think of her, which as her grandma, is normal. But she's not totally lost to you as long as you remember her. And maybe in the future, she'll want to know who her gran is, and come looking for you.
Thank you for your kind words. She's always in my happy thoughts and I have her photo on my coffee table! It is hard at times, but not everything in life is how you'd want it to be and I really believe having one happy parent is better than having two who are unhappy. Our time will come.
