Even after all this time i still can't understand the Vista filing system.
I have just got a copy of the latest Photoshop programme called "Lightroom 2". If you load all your photo's through this, they still go into "my pictures" or whatever Vista calls it, but Lightroom remembers them and files and tags them to your requirements, and although the pictures aren't physically in Lightroom it remembers where it puts them and brings them back whenever you want them.

It's just 'Pictures' now..."%HOMEPATH%Pictures" :)

Now, I bet you wish you could afford CS4?

Since Adobe bought out Macromedia, their prices have become extortionate, but that's because they've pretty much got the monopoly! We'll be going for the CS4 upgrade at work. Then it'll cost me just as much again to get staff trained on it.

I can
But don't really need it, most of the new feature's are related to graphic design not photography. Lightroom 2 will do most of the things CS4 will do with photo's, the bits you don't get you'll never use anyway

I know quite a few people who have bought PC's with Vista, still don't like it and have bought XP via Ebay, etc. They then have their PC's set to be able to boot from either.

vista is poo, too big too pretty, when you consider that it is 30gb+ big and i bet most of that is making it look nice or drivers for hardware that you will never have. I run Linux on a pc that does what I want it to do with less than a 1/4 of resources that vista needs, not wants needs.
Its been said before that micros**t should have a base operating system and you add the stuff that you need. Oh thats Linux. Would you but a car if you had to buy a new interior every time you need a new car freshener?
Why have a shoulder if the wife cant look over it?
