Key decision gives go ahead on Meden Valley Compulsory Purchase Orders
The residents of the Royal Estate in Warsop, Warsop Vale and New Terrace, Pleasley have been informed today that Compulsory Purchase Orders made by Government regeneration agency English Partnerships, have been confirmed. This key decision will allow redevelopment plans for new housing, drawn up by MVMP to proceed.
The pioneering regeneration project will provide over 600 homes in association with national house builder Bellway Homes. An additional 50 properties will be refurbished with LHA-ASRA and South Yorkshire Housing Association. Development is expected to commence in early 2007.
The new developments will help to create more sustainable local communities by providing a greater choice of homes for sale and rent appealing to a wider range of people. Masterplans have been developed in consultation with local residents and MVMP is working closely with those directly affected to minimize disturbance for those staying on site and to find alternative accommodation for this wishing to move during the redevelopment.
