Council houses:does anyone know if there is an exchange facility available on council houses. My brother and his family live in a council house in rainworth. They hate it there and would love to come to warsop or surrounding areas to be a bit closer to me.I don't know much about council house procedures because we are home owners and do'nt rent.

I don't know anything about exchanges but I've often seen ads in shop windows from people wanting council house exchange. Maybe they could get in touch with the housing department at MDC. They have an office on Sherwood Street opposite Griffin Insurance.

Once you know that it's OK to advertise for an exchange, by all means post details of the house on here. Good Luck!

As long as both parties are secure tenants, you should be OK.

Main problem I see you having is finding someone actually willing to leave Warsop to go to Rainworth, mind

you can always pop into your local council offices as normally there are books with peoples names in who want to do swaps and then usually they leave their numbers so you can contact them and ask them if they are interested in swapping into that area........
