Thanks for the pics Mike. It's good to see the progress they're making.

As far as I know, nobody has bought the site yet. Maybe it will go up for sale again once it's all flattened and cleared. The contractors were there again today clearing away the debris.

Tesco have certainly ruined the centre of Warsop with their empty promises.

That's always the problem with big companies. There's no face and no soul to them. They are allowed to bulldoze their way in with no regard for the community they're intending to increase their profits on. Tesco have done this all over the country and I think that's been part of the reason for their decline. People are turning away from them because they've become so impersonal.

i heard on the dreaded facebook that nisa was closing its store in Warsop, not sure if that is true... so maybe an Aldi or a Lidl will come. Not sure that is progress either though!

I personally think a Lidl would do better in Warsop than Tesco.

I dont think anyone has purchased the land yet, there is alot of speculation in Warsop about Lidl, but we will just have to wait and see

It is good prime land and now its been demolished buyers can see the space they are getting

It would be nice to the demolition of the old council buildings next to it and build a large industrial park there to bring jobs to the area
