Postby twiggy » Wed Mar 13, 2013 6:32 pm

Hi everyone
i know this may sound like a really daft question, but how do we get a bus pass for mansfield residents??? ive looked on the council site and the bus sit and even the chad :? ive found plenty of sites for senior citizans but not just for a normal bus pass.
Can any one help!!

You used to be able to get application forms for bus passes at the Town Hall but I don't know if they still provide them. They are also downloadable from the Notts County Council website. http://www.nottinghamshire.gov.uk/travelling/travel/buses/concessionarytravel/

If you open that page again and scroll to the bottom, there is a link to the PDF file "Application form for bus passes on grounds of age [PDF 120KB]"

Just to add - renewals are taking ages to be sent out for some reason.

If you're talking about a weekly pass you pay for for in advance to get cheaper journeys you buy them on the bus, this is because they are not subsidised by the council so you buy them direct from the bus company.

At one time you could also buy them on Mansfield Bus Station to for up to a month or longer but I don't know if that is still the case.
