I only found out about it on here :D nobody put a leaflet through my caravan door

On the serious side though i think it makes a lot of sense when you look at the width of the junction from the corner with Sherwood street and the car park entrance / exit whatever it is these days :D
Screw the padded room, give me a trampoline floor with bubble wrapped walls and a velcro ceiling.

I am only guessing but I would put money on Market Day being chaos at the Car Park entrance,

Maybe the council should look at relocating the Market, maybe close High Street and have it on the road?

It will be no different when Clumber Street is one way. The entrance and exit to the car park will still be the same.

I've always thought it would be better to have the market on High Street and keep the car park for parking.

if anything market day should be easier, as you HAVE to turn right out of the car park with traffic ONLY coming from the left so no 3 way bottle necks.

Work is starting there today. I do think it will improve the Sherwood Street junction as it is a nightmare at times, but it might cause a bottleneck with people trying to get out of the junction near the Catholic Church onto Dawney Hill, especially if they're turning right. That bit of road is particularly dangerous when it's icey, though the best option then would be down Longden Terrace round the back of Sherwood School but I'll bet people won't take that route as it means driving that bit further.

Despite some local objections to the scheme, I think it will be a good improvement to Clumber Street

I noticed this morning that they didn't turn up till 9, then stood about till 9.30 then started to put cones out on Sherwood Street
Me slow??? I get up in the morning with nothing to do and go to bed at night with half of it done.

Looking at all the crew and equipment on site Saturday morning looks like this is costing millions. :o
