Where are Tesco spending all the money you ask !

Well in Bicester there are six stores - two large shops and four local stores.

The large store is being taken down to extend a shopping village.

I have been informed that they are pulling out of Warsop so if rumours are true..there won't be a Tesco.

If that's the case, what a pity the bingo and Earl Engineering both got chased out of Warsop.

It's purely rumour at the moment, the lack of activity has no doubt fuelled it.

As of Friday the Planning Department new nothing if the rumour as didn't the owner of the site who expecting completion of the sale soon.

That's not to say that it is not true, just nobody who you would expect to know knows anything a bout it.

Has anyone contacted TESCO or MDC for an official statement?

The word seems to be filtering out now so it may be worth asking either of these if anyone really wants to know.

Did anyone get an official Statement from TESCO or MDC?

I know MDC are aware one way or the other for sure.

I've tried repeatedly to get an official statement from TESCO but unfortunately it is about as difficult as finding beef in their burgers.

Very shortly, possibly only days, the Eastwoods works and the rear of the cinema will be demolished.
Tesco have put all new developments on hold, even Shirebrook, and the land will just add to their land bank

The buildings are being demolished purely to save money on rates as, at the moment, rates are being paid on empty buildings, but no rates are are payable on empty land.

( You see half a dozen men in hard hats walking round the site, want to know whats happening......you go and ask them  )
