Are the rumours that Lloyds TSB in Warsop is on the banks closure list, leaving the town without the bank

Thankyou for clearing that up SallyAnn, two people in Nisa were talking about the fact that they would have to go to Mansfield to use a Lloyd TSB Bank as it was being closed, however i have had a look at a list of bank closures from the Guardian Newspaper and the nearest branches to us closing are Retford and Bolsover.

No offence to the staff, but I hate this bank with a passion.

I remember it when it was just the TSB and everyone at school had a school bank account with them and every Tuesday you would put 10pence or something into the account, that was over 40 years ago.

Oh, I love it,especially when I,m busy and have queued for 20 minutes and then to be asked "Has anyone asked you about upgrading your account?"
"Not since last week!" is my usual reply.

Although it might frustrate you and it can get on my nerves too the ladies (and gentlemen) have targets to hit and they HAVE to ask

When I worked for a large national bank we always had to reach targets and pester customer and if you didn't reach your targets then you were in trouble

I left the bank after I was assaulted in the street by a woman who saw my bank uniform and clearly had been at some time upset by the bank, she gave me some xtra abuse

I know the bank has targets to meet and I understand they have to try and sell more of their products but it really does get on my teeth and I think they must go through everyone's accounts to see what they're paying out and what products they can sell them!

My mum went into the bank last week to deposit a cheque and was asked to got into an interview room to talk about insurance because they couldn't see any payments going out of her account and she came home worried that she wasn't insured. My mum never had to deal with finances, so since my dad died I've looked after that side of her affairs, so she really didn't have a clue but it worried her. They wouldn't have seen payments going out as it's done through a friend of my dad's who's a broker and has always dealt with their insurance.

This week the bank even phoned her to check again, the day before my brother's funeral, which annoyed me! Now, I've changed her insurance to direct debit from her current account, so that the bank can see exactly what's going out and they don't bother my mum again.

Should that be, it's changing to Lloyds, because it used to be TSB. I think Lloyds have the lion's share of the split and most customers have been sent down that route. The outside of the bank has had a re-vamp anyway and it's now in Lloyds colours.
