It always does, the slightest amount of rain or thawing snow is enough.

We haven't actually had that much rain today or yesterday. 7mm today and 12mm yesterday, compared with 22mm last Friday when it poured down for 4 hours. When we had the June 2007 floods it poured it down for about 36 hours.

It does look like we have a fair bit more rain to come over the weekend and it may be heavy at times, so there could be some standing water on roads to be aware of. But I doubt it'll be enough for me to get my legs out again! :D

It's that time of year again when our roads become skating rinks and the weather starts to play havoc with services. Please post your advisory reports in this thread to keep local people informed.

There's a frost tonight and roads are likely to be icey overnight and in the morning. Please take extra care!!

There is a lot of standing water on roads and water running off fields. There are no roads closed in the Warsop Parish but some other roads around the area are affected. More rain is expected tonight, so roads are likely to be dangerous tomorrow.

Anyone know if Peafield Lane has been reopened, it was closed earlier due to ice between Forest Road and Red Brick House due to a number of minor accidents caused by ice, the gritter were supposed to have been recalledto re grit the area but not sure if its reopened yet
