Fracking

Postby BigAl » Tue Dec 11, 2012 10:01 am

What do peeps on here think of the idea of fracking.

I am still trying to figure out what will happen if they set off one of the explosions in a pocket of gas, does it burn or explode :?: nobody seems to want to say.
Screw the padded room, give me a trampoline floor with bubble wrapped walls and a velcro ceiling.

It's not a new thing but it's been in the news quite a lot today. It's another possible solution to our energy problem that will bring about a lot of debate as usual and I can guarantee most of those opposing it will be those who stand to win from other alternative energy projects. I think it's a good idea and although it's not a permanent solution, at least it buys time to do proper research into other energy sources.

I can't see fuel prices coming down no matter what other sources they exploit. Other sources may be financially viable at today's prices but reduce energy bills and they won't be profitable enough.
