Yes it is... the carnival will hopefully be a run with the events that were planned for last year.

The first Safety Advisory Group (SAG) meeting was held at MDC last Monday and it seemed more positive.

Funds are a major concern as the carnival lost over £5000 last year in cancelling and received no income. ~The committee have been fortunate to receive some funding from Big Local which will certainly help.

So its needs be more of an old fashioned everyone muck in Carnival as opposed to the let a small few do the leg work and attract donations and pay private companies to do what they can't?

Are the volunteer numbers sufficient this year?

No, I'm afraid there isn't enough footage for another dvd and I no longer have the means to do them either. When I was working, I bought the materials through work as well, so the ones we did before were all profit and I don't have that facility either.

I am sure there will be one or two community minded people that would be prepared to if it raised some money.

Just think how much you could raise by putting carefully selected individuals in the stocks and throwing building bricks at them  .

If you contact the Clerk to the Parish Council on 01623 846011 or tbarlow@warsop-pc.gov.uk she will be able to point you in the right direction.

Screw the padded room, give me a trampoline floor with bubble wrapped walls and a velcro ceiling.
