Re: Carnival 2011

Hi there,

I work for a small company called Fit 4 Fun, and we mainly do community Zumba classes in and around the Mansfield area, with one of our largest ones in Warsop. I wondered if there would be any chance of us doing a class in the arena for our ladies to showcase the classes and the benefits of the work out?

Knd regards

Vicky

Hi Vicky,
As the carnival is only a week away, it may be too late to organise this.
If you ring Tania at Warsop Town Hall, 846011, you'll can get more info.

Well, Titan was a roaring success. Well done Sallyann and you others who suggested him! =D>

He brought a lot of people to the carnival today. I was on car parking again, so I didn't get to see him, but I heard lots of kids asking if they could go straight to see Titan. A couple of people asked me where he was sited as well! Everyone I've spoken to has said how great he was, so he definitely made a big impression and was a good crowd puller!

Glad you all liked him.Unfortunately we missed him,my son was playing in a football tournament in sheffield all morning so we didn't arrive until 2.15pm so missed the first showing. In the programme it said he would be doing another showing at 3.45pm but decided to come out early at 3.30pm  .We didn't hear any announcements either because my son was on the helter scelter up the other end of the carrs. He was really upset that he didn't get to see him

I must say the Police and assistants did a great job with traffic management, well the bit around the church and Mill Dam. Top marks.
I'm no expert, so please correct me if I'm wrong.

I would have thought Monarchs through the centuries would have been a more topical theme as its the Queens Diamond Jubilee. Floats could be William the Conq, Charles 1 and the civil war, Henry VIII and the Tudors, Queen victoria, King Richard and kIng John and Robin Hood

Sorry Boris, but Carnival 2011 was in July. I will be opening a new thread once meetings for Carnival 2012 have started and I'll be asking for ideas and for new people to join the committee. You are very welcome on both counts!
