Party inthe park

Postby Cheshire Cat » Sat Jun 20, 2009 11:03 pm

We came to Warsop today and saw the posters. Not quite Hyde Park but I hope it goes well and everyone has a good time. Who's goingto clear up all the Stella hard twa* cans?

That'll be down to the volunteers that organise the carnival.... it's not all booking circuses and red arrows I'll have you know!

 It's actually never quite that bad. I've done some carnival litter picking over the past few years and people aren't as bad as we might make them out to be. We even organised a forum litter pick post carnival a couple of years ago and cancelled it through lack of anything to do. Considering we expect around 10,000 peole on the Carrs during that weekend, they are generally very litter conscious.

The Party in the Park music festival will run from midday to midnight on Saturday - tickets £5. This year the headlining band are a U2 tribute, ZU2 and not Eddie and the Hotrods as advertised.

At the bar M8tey? I'll probably be litter picking or something, but I'll be popping in the marquee for a drink or two to quench my thirst. I'll also be there when Ferocious Dog are on stage of course!

The rundown is in the carnival programme (I trust you've bought one  ) but there are no times listed. Muso might be able to post something about times.

Can't wait for saturday night. Doesn't seem two minutes since last year. Wonder if were the last to leave/get thrown out, again. (mind you, that was Reds fault, we were last out, with the nipple twisting!)
