Postby Caz » Tue Jul 01, 2008 3:51 pm

Don't forget this year sees the return of the ever popular....

Rotary Club of Warsop's Duck Race!

So, look out for the Rotary Club stall and get your duck number!

Oooh, I love that and I'm so pleased it's back!

Didn't they used to do it on Boxing day?

Yes they have done them on Boxing Day as well as the carnival. I wouldn't want to be the one wading into the river to collect up all the ducks in the middle of winter. I think I'd let them float off to Budby!

I did that for a couple years till they stopped it, fishing waders out and walking all the way down the river from bmx track to carrs embankment. if was catching them used a keep net as was quicker lol

Screw the padded room, give me a trampoline floor with bubble wrapped walls and a velcro ceiling.

Mine probably made a break for freedom! Well, at least I paid my £1 for my little duckling. It was actually the only £1 I did spend and that was because I passed it on my way from the car park to the loo! I wanted to go to Cats Protection stall as well but didn't manage it - will have to pay them a visit with a tray of cat food methinks!
