Volunteers Needed

Warsop Carnival has been running for over 20 years and is supported and enjoyed by members of the local community and visitors from far and wide. It is funded and supported by local statutory and voluntary organisations and local businesses and the event relies completely on volunteers every year to make it happen. If you enjoy this local event please take some time to consider the effort that goes into organising and facilitating such a huge event. It doesn’t work by magic or come together overnight. We desperately need volunteers to assist before, during and after the Carnival and to ensure that this continues for another 20 years. Are you able to help us with any of the following activities:

General Stewarding - Information, guidance, selling program
Car parking Stewards - Ensure cars are parked correctly and have permits displayed
Arena Stewards - Ensure all arenas are secure and safe for all and Arena acts have a point of contact.
Music Stewards - To meet, greet our performing guests check wristbands/passes
Litter pick - Help with litter picking
Security - Assist our security team with general site checks
Clearing the site - Co-ordinating site clearance and assisting local charities and traders to safely vacate the site

If you can help with any of these activities please fill in a volunteer application form, you can download one using the link below, or collect one from Warsop Town Hall. If you would like to discuss this in more detail please contact Maddy on 07984 367153 or Lesley on 07789 454893

Many thanks to those of you who have pm'd me. You are stars! I still need more help. If anyone can spare just a couple of hours between 9am and 8pm I'd be really grateful. If you can spare the whole day, that's absolutely marvellous!

Please PM me!

Many, many thanks to all of you who have offered help! I knew I could rely on you. We were struggling for volunteers but since I put out this plea we've managed to recruit enough to get by and it looks like we're all set to go!! So, thank you, you fantastic lot!!!

I could still do with another person to help with flags. Me, Incey and Troy will be giving them out to spectators along the parade route, just before the parade. Did someone else say they could spare half an hour to help?

If anyone else wants to volunteer for jobs, we can never have too much help, so feel free to contact me!

Thanks Troy. I'm sure we can find you something to do. We do still need a lot of volunteers.

Troy - if I weren't already doing something, I'd be more inclined to sell programmes knowing I'd be with you! :friendlyhug:
