Carnival General

Postby Caz » Fri Oct 26, 2007 12:12 am

The Duck Race will be back at next year's carnival courtesy of the Rotary Club of Warsop!

The local Watercolour group is looking at putting on an exhibition of their work at the carnival and local artist Matthew Palmer will be doing a couple of demonstrations during the day.

There was an environmental issue that prevented us having the duck race but it's now been resolved. We were informed of the good news tonight by Graham Goff who represents the Rotarians.

We have no intention of paying Mansfield 103.2 a penny... we will make it quite clear however that our local radio station wanted nothing to do with the carnival unless we paid for it.

you don't really need a radio station, after all they do not make any more people turn up

We'd be better off having a Nottingham station anyway, cos we'll get greater coverage than we would with Mansfield, it'll transmit further South. Everyone in Mansfield will already know it's our carnival cos it will have been in the chad, so let's advertise further.
