I agree, we must stop children posting on here

That means Lafi won't be able to post anymore.
Slow down and enjoy life. It's not only the scenery you miss by going too fast - you also miss the sense of where you are going and why.

Hi Carol

Just to say that we really appreciate all of the effort that both you and Karen are putting into the programme for 2008. With your enthusiasm and Karen's expertise I'm sure it will be a huge success. I am afraid however that I must disagree with some of the other posts, the lack of sales last year was not necessarily down to Warsop people being 'tight' but more down to a lack of available people on the day, most of us were carnival committee 'virgins' and had no idea how many jobs needed doing on the Sunday and as a result the sale of programmes suffered.

Hopefully it will be very different this year, and once again if anyone would like to offer their help on the day (even if they can't attend meetings) then please just let a committee member know :D

Anybody any good at compiling word searches? We could perhaps use one in the programme.

Thank you to those of you who have already submitted an ad for the programme. It's filling up nicely.

If you still want an ad and haven't let Karen know, please do it asap. The deadline will not be extended further due to time constraints with printing.

Also, if your group, or you as an individual have yet to submit an article to go into the programme, please e.mail it to me before 10th May. Anything after that date will not get into the 2008 carnival programme.

This is your last chance to get your article or ad into the carnival programme. Everything needs to be in by Monday and we will NOT be extending the deadline again as Karen is now finalising it ready to go to the printers next week.

e.mail Karen at d2studio@btinternet.com

Carnival programmes are now on sale at the Town Hall and will be in various shops and establishments over the next few days. ONLY £1

If anyone knows of an outlet where they may want to sell a few, please let me know. Let's make sure we sell all 1,000 of them!

I'll come and get some from you tomorrow.
Is anyone doing the market?

Thanks Whitey. I'm at Nottingham all day tomorrow but if you see Tania, she can give you some. They're in my office in boxes on the big table in the back. There are also a few posters if you'd like to take some. I need to print more.

Sam's doing the market tomorrow and I'd like someone to do it every Thursday up to the carnival. Sam's taken a box full of programmes so if you'd like to help him that would be great. I couldn't get in touch with Lee Cartwright to ask him for a stall, but I left a message on his answerphone. Whether he'll pick it up before the market starts I don't know, but I'm sure Lee will let us have a stall.

If we can sell the majority of the 1,000 we've had printed up to a week before the carnival, I can get a re-print of another 500 to put more cash into the bank.
