Strange message

Postby tightwadswife » Wed Oct 24, 2012 7:17 am

Twice recently when I've logged into this forum I got a pop up message.
'Internet explorer blocked this website from displaying content with security certificate errors'.
Any idea what it's trying to tell me?

TD. Change to Chrome!
Don't you realise you're speaking to a technologically challenged person?
I'd have to recruit a volunteer to do that sort of thing.

This is either a system settings or a browser settings/error within Explorer.

A common issue with receiving this error could be down to your system date/time not being set correctly. Check your date/time settings in the bottom right of the screen if your using a Windows system.

Something else to check - if you are accessing the forum through http://forum.warsopweb.co.uk, then try accessing it through http://www.forum.warsopweb.co.uk to see if that removes the error.

I personally along with TD recommend using a different internet browser, Google Chrome is much better than Internet Explorer in many ways from my past experience.
You can download it here https://www.google.com/intl/en_uk/chrome/browser/

i resisted google chrome for ages (not sure if its years lol) but then gave in, the speed difference in load up times was ridiculously faster. what are IE playing at?

i have to keep IE for the payroll system for work as it does not work on chrome but everything else is now done on chrome
Of all the things i've lost, i miss my mind the most

Took the plunge and changed to Google Chrome. Still finding my way around, but I've got to admit it's much faster than I E .
Thanks for the advice.
