Easy Back Up

Postby langameringue » Fri Nov 13, 2009 11:47 am

If you are not very technologically minded, like me, have just discovered an excellent product for backing up digital files on the computer. :D It's called 'Clickfree Automatic Backup' and costs £9.99.

It does exactly what it says on the case "It's a recordable DVD and back up software all in one. It will automatically find, organise and back up all your photo and video files onto the disc. Insert the dvd into your DVD writer and back up just starts- covers 100 video & photo formats. No software to install or set up."

Comes with 3 discs and one backup can span across multiple discs if necessary storing up to 6,000 photos. Works on 2000, XP & Vista.

I purchased my copy from Boots in Mansfield and was very dubious of the claim 'Easy' but this one really is. Just pop in the disc and it does everything automatically. . . .no scratching of the head or headaches . . .Nice

I think i'll give that a try for my business work, although, with the ammount of photo's i've got, i back them up on a 500gb external hard drive

It's not "if" a hard drive fails but "when"

Ah, I hear the voice of experience there.

It's good to hear people talking about backing up their data, the worst can strike without warning all too often.

i have had drives fail a couple of times, lost a few pics but the important ones luckily where saved by facebook that time lol. so its always save my pics and important work in 2 places now so when one drive fails replace that and back up the other again as soon as poss. its unlikely both would go at the same time
