Same here. There is nothing for miles in Microsoft's cupboard to match FireFox, it's the best way and certainly the fastest way round the Internet. I've tried them all > Safari > Chrome > Netscape but nothing matches the facilities and customisable Interface. FireFox is now on version 3.0.11 Try It it will run alongside IE8 or any other browser, put them up all at the same time if you like ( Why you should want to I don't know ).

Isn't IE just a way of accessing the 'tinternet, what's the difference with using something else instead?, why is firefox better? what can it do that IE dosn't?

FireFox has a whole host of add ons that IE8 has never even thought of plus the GUI is customisable, please take a look on the Mozilla website, not enough space here to detail everything, but it's not until you start using FireFox that you can really appreciate the difference.

The above link may help, it has one or two other bits of interest as well.

I would always say without hesitation that FireFox is faster, please note FireFox blocks sites that are suspect, and actively prevents you stepping into something nasty. The only time I have encountered this is when I'm in unknown territory, I always leave well alone, if the site has been blocked it's there for a reason.

Hi Mr50p,

What on earth do you have for a PC a rocket. Most of us still have to get there yet, would be nice to see a 50mb dongle, would probably be shaped like a brick.

I find firefox easier, faster and it uses less computer resources than IE, which I suppose is why it's quicker.
