e mail attachments

I've just made a document in MS publisher and tried to email it to someone.
They cannot open it and have asked for it in Word.

How can i change the format to resend it without having to design a new document

As far as I'm aware you can't change a publisher document into a word one.

But if it's not a complicated file then just copy and paste everything from the publisher file into a word doc and the save it as normal.

If you go to edit, then select all, you should be able to paste it all into a blank word doc.

Before you paste it into the word doc, go to your page set up and set your margins at the least value your printer will accept - this is to ensure you get it all on as publisher margins are generally set smaller than Word margins.

Hi Whitevanman,

Just a thought but I always test email accounts by sending a copy to myself. Just put your own email address on the message and away it goes, and should return to your inbox within seconds, it's also a good way to check the server you are using as to how it's coping with mail.

Cheers,

Aidie, I think in this case, the problem was that the person receiving the e.mail didn't have MS Publisher. They received the e.mail but couldn't open the attachment because they didn't have the programme on their computer.

Errmmm Yes that would be a definite problem, would I be a little supercilious if I suggested emailing MS Publisher as well.

Yawn, need my beauty sleep, if only II could remember where I put the bed.
