Rumbly Tumbly and Adrian got the answer which is Medan, in Sumatra.

There may be arrows (Indian) pointing around the body of water (Ocean) to this place, which is not as close as it sounds. (Meden)

To the east it sounds like you'll find a heap of bears (Kuala Lumpa) but there's illness there, (Malaysia - malaise here) though it's more harmonious further South (Singapore).

Rumbly it's your turn to do one now!

First attempt so if you get it in 5 mins I'm sorry

Aged Glory takes flight in the wind. Nearby the ample fruit is collected in the shadow of the icon of freedom. There was a catalogue of events which led the gorilla to climb up onto the house.

I think they're harder to make up than solve :D

Sorry everyone, just noticed I've broke a rule, as my answer was a building.

My apologies, Caz and Adrian got it right with New York, I was trying to complicate things further by making the actual answer the Empire State Building.

Here is the answer

Carry on= A carry on film, this being Carry on England

The monarchs maiden is Kings Lynn

and ron will tell folk= reverse Ron and you get NOR add this to FOLK and you get Norfolk.

The answer is KINGS LYNN which is in Norfolk England

Adrian - that was a good one! I didn't get any of it and I should have done as we visit Norfolk regularly and pass through Kings Lynn. Maybe I've got my mind of far off places!

This one shouldn't take long as it can be picked up on quite a high scan of the earth.

In this faraway dark place lies the source of our local knowledge. From there the sun rises on two new lines, one white and one blue, these then merge into a different line, and it is at this point the General drinks his gin
