Tinners' Rabbit is a hare found depicted in ancient carvings in places as far apart as China, caves in Southern France and churches in Cornwall. No-one knows the significance of the image or why it is called a Tinners' Rabbit it is a part of the extensive folk lore surrounding this fascinating creature

If they're found in Cornwall, I'd suspect they're possibly something to do with tin mines then!
