It's a puzzle.......
A ship sailed from port....and it went all the way around the equator. Then it returned back to it's exact original position in port.
The question is.......which part of the ship travelled the furthest?

Answers on a postcard please

My answer would have to be the deck.

The front and back of the ship would travel the same distance providing it did indeed travel back to the exact same position.

However as most ships curve inwards below the surface the deck is normally longer than the bottom ... therefore the deck would make a bigger circle as it travelled. The deck would travel further than the bottom :lol:
