Lateral Thinking

Postby Tomas Drouty » Thu Feb 16, 2006 6:16 pm

Ok here's an old one but see how you do ... If you want to ask questions I can only answer yes or no.

Romeo and Juliet were lying dead on the floor in a puddle of water and broken glass. How did they die?

Romeo and Juliet

They saw what they thought was a pool of water, but it was actually a reflection on some glass, so they both jumped from the balcony of there 10 storey high flat in Tottenham and the rest is history

OK folks, remember this is lateral thinking, so don't look for the obvious! You can ask Carnival questions about the situation but he can only answer yes, no or irrelevant.

I'll ask Carnival a question then to set you off.....

Did they kill each other?

They jumped and fell through a glass skyroof, and landed on the floor, it then rained through the hole in the roof

That's certainly thinking laterally but it's not the right answer.

Adrian - This is a story about Romeo and Juliet!

If you ask a question like that you will be told YES!

Try asking.... "Does this have anything to do with Shakespeare?"

So does this puzzle you have set, have anything to do with Shakespeares play?
