There's a Shaping Futures Day Nursery in Warsop. I don't have a lot of information about it, but this might help http://www.warsopweb.co.uk/Notices/daynursery.htm

You say you've read some worrying things, don't be worried, we're generally a friendly bunch here and we love our community! Ask us anything and we'll try to give you an honest answer, though we may be a little biased!

Thanx Caz, my son has his school induction next week so plan to have a look round nursery, will take a look at shaping futures, not many reviews, well none I can find online.

More worried about our lad, we came up Saturday lunch time to Meden and it was dead quiet, do u think there will be other kids he can play with? Ride his bike
Etc. Looked like a ghost town apart from the odd character about. Just hoping he's not goin to be too bored.

Oh there are lots of kids around to play with. He won't get bored at all I'm sure. Where are you going to be living? Don't give your address though, just the general location. How old are your children?

Near the colliery :-) My kid are 11, 3 and 15mths. The girls will be busy, but my lad is used to being
Out on his bike, playin footie and all sorts. He's quite sociable and a good lad.

He's also a scout here, hopin to find him a new pack.

Hi and welcome to MV, Warsop, and WW :)
On a mobile so be brief for now... There is ready access to woodland paths that go to several intersting places and grass to play on. You shouldn't have any major problems on the scout front.

Your eldest will be going to Meden School then. They've just had a bad ofsted report unfortunately, but I still maintain it's a good school! I went there and so did all three of my kids. There are now major changes afoot there following the ofsted report, which can only be good news for new pupils!

We do have a good scout group here and also a National standard BMX track. Have a look on the Leisure section of the website for clubs and groups http://www.warsopweb.co.uk/leisure/index.htm There are lots of lovely cycle routes too, my favourite family route is through country lanes and woodland to Sherwood Forest visitor centre.

A bit of info for you about the area, so you don't get as confused as the locals!! The area we refer to as Warsop, is a parish comprising 5 small settlements, Church Warsop, Market Warsop, Meden Vale, Spion Kop and Warsop Vale. Market Warsop is the main shopping centre, but locals often refer to it as 'Warsop', which is what causes the confusion.

I often say, Warsop is getting this or Warsop is getting that and then some people complain that, "it's always Warsop and never Meden Vale that gets things!" Well, I mean Warsop bliddy Parish, not Market Warsop!

See what you're letting yourself in for Brum!!!
