Hello Wassop

Postby Berts » Wed Mar 25, 2009 9:24 pm

Hi Everyone
Been browsing around here for a few months now. Don't normally care for forums but this one
seems friendly enough and has the added advantage of bringing back so many memories of
growing up in Wassop! By my calculations I reckon I'm a year older than Caz so that makes me
still pretty young then ( always keep on the moderators good side)
Hopefully I will get around to adding my twopennorth to a few threads later on.
The one about Malc Kimberleys Hillman imp bike brought back a few memories.
What was his younger sister called?

Anyone remember when a gang of greasers from Ollerton? came looking for trouble at the "Hare
& Hounds" zooming around just waiting for something to kick off and then riding right
through the middle of them came the curate ( Mr Curtis?) on his moped wearing his WW1
leather flying helmet!!
I couldn't stop laughing for ages.
Good Times
Keith ( that's a clue)

Hi Berts,
Malc's sister, i'm not sure, but was it Lindsay.

The incident with the curate, Mr Curtis definitely rings a bell, i was working there that night and it was indeed hilarious.

Welcome to the forum, by the way. Did you go to the meden?

How could he go to the Meden Whitey? If he's older than Caz it must have been long before the Meden opened.........

Welcome Bert!! You are indeed a young un if you're just a year older than me!!!

Just ignore M8tey, he's bliddy well in for it when I see him!! I'd just like to remind him that he's only a couple of years behind me in age, chronologically that is, not mentally, he's years behind in that respect! Whitey's getting as bad and by the way, he's two or three years older than me!!!
