I really don't mind, just thought I'd suggest it.

Lets see what everyone else thinks. :?:

Doesn't seem like anyone else is interested Gaz. It's getting a bit too close to Christmas now, so maybe we should have sorted something out before. Perhaps a gathering in a local pub would be the best thing.

How about getting a quiz team together for the Sunday before Christmas at the Plough?

Sounds like a great idea! But, I've already got a quiz team and I will be there anyway. I really like Sunday nights at the Plough, they are a nice friendly crowd in for the quiz. It would be lovely to see other people there though! :)

Vodafone network is down in Warsop at the moment. If you're on Vodafone, you need to report the fault. The more reports they get, the more priority they give it. It's not easy getting in touch with them but you can chat with an advisor and lodge your complaint at:

https://help.vodafone.co.uk/system/selfservice.controller?CMD=ESCALATION_REQUEST&PARTITION_ID=1&CONFIGURATION=1000&COUNTRY=us&LANGUAGE=en

Or you can report the outage on their forum http://forum.vodafone.co.uk/t5/Network/Network-Issues-How-to-report-one-to-us-and-find-out-the-latest/td-p/666783

I thought Vodaphone customer services were based at Newark on Trent?

I don't know where they are Adrian, but I've had no network connection for two days and I know a lot of others are experiencing the same, but they need to do something if it's to get sorted out quickly. It's no good people just grumbling about it. They need to report it.

Hello Caz and all other friends in Warsop.
I am sory to have been absent from the Warsop webb for so loing. Life has taken too much time from me to be able to keep in contact with you all. I do hope that you all have a good health and that at least some of you still remember Ginnie from Uppsala. The years do pass us so fast that I have to recognioze that the earlier generation was right abaout the vanishing time. Back then I just took that for nonsence, but now I know better. I live a calm life now, but visited Portsmouth this summer , but there was no time to come up to you even for a short visit. But I still keep you all in my happy corner of memory. Not even the weather catastroph can take the good memories from me. I hope that I will be able to be a more frequent guest here in the new year. For now I just want to send you the best seasonal greetings and wishes for a prosperous new year.

And to you Caz: I still have your painting on the wall above my bed so I see the bridge every morning when a wake up

Ahh, hi Ginnie! It's lovely to hear from you again and good that you're enjoying life. I remember your visit to Warsop very well. You chose the worst time to arrive, June 2007 when the river Meden flooded and they had to close the road bridge. You were staying at the B&B near the Church and were one of the last to drive over the bridge before it flooded too much. We had a forum get together at the wine bar too, while you were here, so quite a few people met you. I'm honoured that you still have the watercolour I did for you, I think it was of the Mill and the Mill Dam if I remember correctly.

Hope you have a lovely Christmas, with plenty of snow. It doesn't look like we'll be getting snow here, probably just rain. Again!!! :D

All the best
Caz

It's nearly time for the big red chap to come. Just three more sleeps! Is everybody ready for it? :)

Yes we sometimes forget about people who have to work over Christmas including those who keep the emergency services working.

I'm really ready for it now and we've just had the best Christmas pressie ever. My mum in law was scheduled to have a life saving operation in February, but she's deteriorated so quickly that she's been in Bassetlaw hospital for the past week and wouldn't have made it to February. The consutlant at Hull Royal Infirmary has agreed to do the op tomorrow as an emergency and she's on here way to Hull as I type! So she's got a good chance now! :D

Hope that goes well Caz.
I have seen so much of the NHS this past year the good, the bad and yes the staff need a medal in most hospitals.
I'm no expert, so please correct me if I'm wrong.

Thank you, I'm sure it will all go well. They are doing all they can for her and that's all we can ask. Yes Andrew, I know exactly what you mean. I too have had more than my fair share of hospitals this year and I've seen all sides too.

Anyway, it's Christmas Eve! A very Happy Christmas to you all. :)
